How do you and your business contribute to the appeal of this neighbourhood?
In the early days, more than seven years ago, Joys was mainly a place to hang out in for the locals. In the mean- while, it attracts guests from the entire region and contributes to Klein-Basel’s allure – thanks to its originality, intimate atmosphere, and the surprising, delicious food.
Do you have an insider tip from the neighbourhood for us?
In summer, when the sun is setting behind the minster, soak up the last of its rays down on the banks of the Rhine, or maybe at night, after work, take a dip in the fountain in front of the Rebhaus restaurant with a glass of Franciacorta in your hand. In winter it’s worth going on a little tour of the galleries scattered around the Rebgasse.
