It’s lovely to sit on a park bench at the Wieland square or in the Schützenmatt park, enjoying the sun shining on your face, followed by a creamy cappuccino at my Feigenbaum organic shop; then you can choose a beautiful bouquet of flowers at Rebekka’s craft shop next door and stroll home through the neighbourhood.
What is your favourite time of year in the neighbourhood?
My favourite season is spring – when the magnolia trees in front of the Paulus church are blooming, the quality of light in the neighbourhood alters and the bushes and trees in the garden of my café reveal themselves in their most delightful colours.
In what way do you and your establishment contribute to the appeal of your neighbourhood?
I dedicate my days to my labour of love, running a local shop with a café for people from the neighbourhood. A place where you can buy sustainably produced food, specialities, and freshly baked goods but which is also a meeting place for the locals.
Which three adjectives best describe your neighbourhood?
Friendly, comfortable, lively.
